About this file
This document is a Davis-Bacon Wage Determination for building construction projects in Jefferson County, Alabama, effective 03/14/2025. The wage determination specifies hourly rates for various construction trade classifications, including asbestos workers, boilermakers, electricians, carpenters, laborers, operators, painters, plumbers, and other trades, with wage rates ranging from $12.22 to $34.50 per hour. The document highlights two key Executive Orders (14026 and 13658) governing minimum wage requirements, with contractors required to pay workers at least $17.75 per hour for contracts entered on or after January 30, 2022, and $13.30 per hour for contracts awarded between January 1, 2015 and January 29, 2022. The wage determination also includes detailed instructions on wage rate identifiers, survey methodologies, and an appeals process for wage determination challenges.
