About this file

This file contains detailed construction specifications for a surgical service space construction project at the VA Portland Healthcare System. The project, identified as Project No. 648-349, is a competitive Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside with a construction value between $10 million and $20 million. The specifications cover comprehensive construction requirements across multiple divisions, including structural steel framing, metal decking, thermal and moisture protection, roofing, doors, finishes, specialties, and various building systems like plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and communications.

The project involves constructing a new surgical service space on the second floor roof above an existing laboratory, with specific technical requirements for materials, installation methods, quality control, and performance standards. The construction documents are dated 02.28.2025 and include detailed technical specifications, drawing sheets, and guidelines for everything from concrete work and steel framing to specialized systems like medical gas and nurse call systems. The project will require precise coordination, adherence to VA standards, and comprehensive documentation throughout the construction process, with an emphasis on quality control, safety, and compliance with building codes and VA specifications.
