GXS Instrument Implementation
Final RFP 80GSFC22R0055
Questions and Responses
5 Final GXS RFP Cost Exhibits, pg 9):
This page is titled Exhibit 3A Labor Dollars. Should this be Exhibit
3C Labor Dollars?
The Cost Exhibit, page 9 is mislabled and should read “Exhibit 3C Labor Dollars”. The Cost Exhibit will be updated.
6 Final Attachment E IMAR, ID IMAR791:
IMAR791 contains a reference to GXISOW898. Was this reference of only the GXISOW intentional or should it also reference the similar requirement in the GXSSOW
(GXSSOW805)?
Attachment E, IMAR will be updated to be inclusive of GXSSOW805.
7 (Final Attachment D GXSUIID, ID GXSUIID145):
GXSUIID145 references 418-XO-GXIGIRD-0025, which is an older version of the IMAR. Can you confirm this reference should be 418-XO-GIRD-0041 GeoXO GIRD?
Attachment D, GXSUIID will be updated to refer to the correct version of the GIRD.
(Final Attachment B PORD & Final Attachment G EDM):
Final Attachment G EDM states in the definition for Qualification
Unit that, “Qualification is achieved through either a Protoflight or Prototype test program. For GeoXO, the Qualification Unit is the Protoflight Unit.” The underlined statement appears to conflict with GXSPORD1222 & GXSPORD1223 that reference qualification with “a non-flight prototype”. Please clarify which takes precedence.
There is no precedence. The statement in Attachment G does not prohibit prototype qualification on prototype EDU/EDMs, such as GXSPORD1222 requires under certain conditions.
9 Should the contractor include storage costs for the instrument(s) at our facility or should we assume immediate shipment upon completion to the spacecraft provider?
You should not assume immediate shipment upon completion to the spacecraft provider.
Attachment A, GeoXO GXS Statement of Work (418-XO-GXSSOW-113) discusses storage in Section 6.4.2.0-1 and specifies “The Contractor shall store the Instrument FM at the Contractor's facility until needed at the Spacecraft Contractor's facility. The period of ground storage will be no more than five years”.
