END OF AMENDMENT LANGUAGE

The following questions were received in response to the solicitation:

1. CG Exchange Lot Conditions, Drawing CS110. There are 5ea 45-foot

Containers/Structures south of the CG Exchange at Grid 2/A. Please confirm if the contractor is to assume these will remain in the lot and we are to grade toward them, or if they will be re-located by others prior to re-grading the site, or if removal and re-location of these are to be included by the contractor in this contract. If relocation is to be by contractor, where are they to be relocated?

Response: Confirmed with the CG Exchange. The Coast Guard will transport and relocate these containers to an offsite storage facility. COR to handle coordination in advance to clear the area prior to contractor mobilization. The 5 trailers will not disrupt contractor’s work.

2. Scope Element 5: Partial Sanitary Sewer Improvements, Division 33, Drawings, CU005 to CU006. Please provide top and invert elevations for new sanitary manholes.

Response: No further information is available for invert elevations. Detailed design of new sanitary manholes is contractor responsibility. Limited topographic survey exists; the content of the RFP includes all available information. See attachment 3 ICAM report for related information.

9. Electrical, Appendix 3, Section 2.0, Drawings EU111 to EU118. Please clarify if the electric utility (PREPA) provides any of the electrical distribution scope of work that is included in the contract. Drawings EU111 through EU118 appear to indicate that electrical distribution is required in the scope of work of the contract. However, Attachment 3 indicates that “PREPA provides service to USCG facilities at Borinquen and provides operations and maintenance up to connection points at buildings or the weather heads for the housing units.”

Response: Existing PREPA services are to be removed under this contract as indicated in the demolition plans and after replacement with new, USCG owned, electrical distribution as indicated on the construction plans. Demolition of existing PREPA primary and secondary services will require PREPA coordination since those lines are owned and maintained by PREPA.

10. Communications. Section 01800, Paragraph 1.16.2, 7, 8. Will the utility provide the new services and transformers or is that in the scope of this project?

Response: The scope for communications cabling is included and is listed in the indicated
