About this file
This document outlines requirements for a service life extension project for the US Coast Guard Polar Star cutter. The Coast Guard intends to award an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for services to replace the existing machinery control system aboard the Polar Star with a new Coast Guard Machinery Control System over multiple years. Work will include installing electrical and communication infrastructure in 2020, replacing computers, switches, and input/output devices in 2021, installing additional components in 2022 and 2023. Testing is included after each installation phase. The solicitation seeks proposals for the project under request for proposal number 70Z02320RAPS00200.
