About this file
This is a Pre-Award Request for Information (RFI) Log for the B401 Tenant #6 Fit-Out project, containing 16 answered questions dated August 26 through September 9, 2025. The project involves a Digital, Addressable Fire Alarm/Mass Notification System (NAICS 283113) and includes modifications to existing VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) systems to accommodate new slab-to-slab demising partitions. The current building automation system uses Alerton controllers with Tridium N4.13 as the graphical user interface. The RF shielding and privacy film specification references 088000.002.01 with Signal Defense Films SD1000/1010 Surface-Applied Film. Work is scheduled during normal building hours, with after-hours work requiring advance approval via an After Hours Work Request Form.
Access and badging procedures are stringent and require National Crime Information Center (NCIC) checks for all contractor personnel. Badged contractors will not require escort, while non-badged pre-screened staff approved for One-Day Access must be escorted at all times. Delivery drivers requiring more than three day passes must submit complete badging packets for approval through the Information Security Management System (ISMS). The project requires Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (VADPOR) contractor licensing, with contracts unable to proceed to award until licensing is obtained. Additional documentation requirements include commissioning reports, fire alarm system details, SF-25/SF-25A performance and payment bonds, Optional Form 336 for CLIN structure, and bid bonds (photocopies with wet signatures acceptable). Responses to all RFIs were provided between September 4 and September 10, 2025.

2 8/26/2025 Door Opening 228 does not call out an STC rating but calls out for SHW-07 hardware which is for STC opening. Is this door supposed to be STC rated? If so, please provide rating.
Door 228 is not STC rated but would still need the security hardware outlined in SHW-07 with the exception of the acoustic door seals. 9/4/2025
