Truman Building Elevators – Phase 2
Supplemental Scope of Work requirements dated 3-19-21
Supplemental Work Items to the Phase 2 Elevator Scope Document dated January 25, 2017, and the project, are as follows:
1. Weekly project meetings shall be held. If the Government deems that sufficient work is being performed and work is on schedule, the frequency of progress meetings can be revised by the Government.
2. Provide detailed 2 week “Look Ahead” schedules that provide more detail than the project schedule especially as related to coordination with tenants, security, outages and building operations.
3. Patch voids in blockwork around frames inside the hoistway as needed. During two previous elevator upgrade project a very limited number of voids were found in the blockwork at some frames.
4. All work that generates noise that disturbs the tenants must be preformed on weekday nights between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and on weekends.
5. DELETE requirements in Truman Building Phase 2 Elevator Scope Document, January 25, 2017, paragraph V. DESIGN/BUILD CONTRACTOR SERVICES requiring estimates with design submissions.

14220, DELETE all requirements to “Retain” Roping for all elevators and ADD the requirement to “Replace with New” all Roping for all elevators. Also, in this same
Section 14220, DELETE all requirements to “Retain” Machines for all elevators and
ADD the requirement to “Replace with New” all Machines for all elevators. These requirements supersede other direction in the solicitation documents.
7. All Codes, Standards, Guidelines and Requirements Documents noted in the documents in this solicitation shall the most current edition as of the date of the bid due date.
8. Provide all electronic documents required after NTP for the project via ePM, the electronic project management system used by GSA, and then in KAHUA. The ePM system is planned to be phased out during the project and then a new system called
KAHUA is planned to be used for projects. The new KAHUA system is planned to start in the second half of 2021 or the first half of 2022.
9. New conduit and wiring shall from the emergency generator to the elevator machine rooms shall be installed from the emergency generator (located on the roof of the 2nd floor) then under the metal grate flooring from the generator to the building exterior wall, then up the outside of the exterior wall to the roof of the 8th floor, then into interior mechanical space and to all elevator machine rooms to be upgraded under this project.
Provide a metal cover / shroud over the conduit where it is installed on the exterior wall.
The metal cover over the conduit shall be painted to match the color of the facade.

11. Provide conduit and wiring for the Liftnet monitoring system from each elevator machine room to the central elevator control room. Connect wiring on both ends to the control system. The central elevator control room is located near the center of the building. Conduit may need to run down a floor level and back up a floor level to the control room depending on the location of the elevator machine room.
