Clarification regarding soil remediation scope:
The scope of soil remediation will be per the following preliminary assumptions:
● Remove & Dispose of Rubble or Debris is assumed as 35% of Building Area with a 2’ depth
● Excavate Dioxin Contaminated Material is assumed as the Leachate Line plus
Incinerator soil volumes
● Excavated Metal Contaminated Material is assumed as the Paving Area with a 2’ depth
● Excavate Petroleum Contaminated Material is assumed as the Landscape Area with a 4’ depth (This item may not be needed, but I thought we may want a unit price to excavate
& dispose of petroleum impacted soil)
● The disposal units are converted to TONS because this is an easier way to track trucked amounts to landfills with weight tickets.
● Clean General Fill assumes 3.67’ of depth under the Landscape Area
● Clean Select Suitable Borrow assumes 2’ depth under the Building Area (with a structured floor slab)
● Clean Granular Borrow assumes 2’ depth under the Paving Area
● Clean Topsoil Borrow assumes 4” depth under the Landscape Area
The assumed quantity of soil remediation scope includes the following:
