1. 6-27-22 6-27-22 Is this project tax-exempt? If yes, please issue the Tax Exemption number for bidding purposes. If not, what is the percentage of tax?

No, this is not exempt of sales tax. Contractors are required to pay sales and excise tax. Offerors shall include all applicable taxes in accordance with FAR by Reference Clause 52.229-3 “Federal, State and Local Taxes.” Percentage of tax information is the responsibility of the offeror.

2. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Specification Section 01 35 26 states “The Prime Contractor shall designate a minimum of one SSHO at each project site that will be identified as the SSHO to administer the Contractor's safety program and government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan. Each subcontractor shall designate a minimum of one CP in compliance with 29 CFR 1926.20 (b)(2) that will be identified as a CP to administer their individual safety programs.” Would the government accept one SSHO for the project so long as each site running concurrently has the appropriate competent persons at each site?

Specifications require dedicated SSHO for this project. Each work area under this project must have a CP present.

3. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Please confirm the Superintendent shall not have any shared duties as a QCM or SSHO on the project.

Confirmed, superintendent is expected to be on site full time for duration of project.

QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

8. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Please confirm requirement for an additional 20% capacity of communications cabling to be included in the bid amount.

The intent was to allow for 20% additional data drops throughout project to allow for unforeseen conditions.

9. 6-28-22 6-28-22 Equipment and certain materials have extremely long lead times currently, will the VA be willing to issue an Administrative NTP for the project before issuing a NTP for construction to help mitigate these long lead items?

We may issue an administrative NTP as soon as bonds and insurance are provided to us in accordance with terms and conditions of the contract. This type of NTP can be also referred as a Limited Notice to Proceed under the VAAM 836.213-74.

10. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Please confirm the ICRA wall systems must be one hour rated (STARC fireblockwall or equal system). This has a large cost impact compared to the standard ICRA systems on the market.

Confirmed.

11. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Will work in common hallways require use of the control cube method (cart with plastic covering and sealed connection to work site with HEPA vacuum for vacuuming prior to exit)? Or will the VA allow the work to be done with plastic sheating if the dust disturbance is minimal and 4 or less acoustic tiles are removed for that particular work?

HEPA mobile containment cart is required for any work outside of ICRA barriers or containment.

12. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Please confirm Level 4 finish for all finished areas open to public view of gypsum board.

Confirmed.

13. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Please confirm painting unless otherwise noted is to be

(3) coats (prime, body, and finish) and will be from "seam to seam" or to a change of materials where walls have been patched and refinished.

Confirmed.

14. 6-28-22 6-30-22 Please provide project completion date for PROJECT #676-21-701 Data Center Expansion.

Anticipated completion is fall 2023.

15. 6-28-22 6-30-22 What is the scope of work regarding the ACM listed in the Asbestos report? Are we to remove all ACMs from these areas or only if the contractor encounters them during construction?
