About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from Q&A Session 2 for solicitation 36C25626Q0630, addressing submission, product, delivery, and installation requirements for antimicrobial shelving units at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center.
Key submission and product requirements include email submission of all offers to Marcus.Sidney@va.gov with acknowledged amendments; non-brand product meeting or exceeding mandatory SOW characteristics; freight and shipping included in quoted pricing; and no approved manufacturer or distributor limitations. Delivery and installation must occur during normal business hours with coordination required for back loading dock access; the contract number must appear on all exterior shipping labels. Partial shipments are permitted within the delivery timeframe, and substitutions are acceptable if they meet or exceed SOW mandatory characteristics, except plastic shelving substitutions are prohibited. Removal and disposal of existing shelving is limited to units being replaced under this solicitation only. The document clarifies that a service/freight elevator will not be needed and stair carry is not anticipated if the loading dock is used for unloading and disposal operations.
