1. CHANGED: Section 28 31 00: 1.2 SCOPE A. A fully addressable fire alarm system shall be designed and installed in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Provide the devices as shown in plan.
B. Remove all old equipment and those conduits, wire molding, boxes and wiring that are readily accessible. Existing exposed conduit and conduit between drop-in tiles and the floor slab above is considered accessible. All fire alarm panels, initiation and indication devices shall be new. Except as outlined in Section 28 31 00 1.2C, D and E.
2. RFI 66 Response Updated:
RFI: Please confirm that there are no carpentry/finish requirements for this project? The last time this project was bid the intent was to move several of the panels into new/FA/Electrical closets adjacent to the stairwells. We have 08 11 13 hollow metal doors and frames, 08 14 00 interior wood doors, 08 71 00 hardware, 09 29 00 gypsum board in addition to the current specifications. Please confirm these are requirements are no longer required.
UPDATED RESPONSE: The project requires general carpentry work and finish requirements as it relates to supporting the fire alarm work. Examples include and are not limited to: fire stopping any new / abandoned fire alarm cable / conduit openings in rated walls for this work, painting and patching as required for demolition / new fire alarm work. Replace any ceiling tiles that are damaged or made dirty by this fire alarm work.
