About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network 10 Contracting Office for the Upgrade Campus Electrical System project at VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The RFI number is 36C25026B0006, and the project number is 610A4-23-101. The document was issued on 1/9/2026 and responses will be provided by amendment(s) to SAM.gov or via email.
Geotech Services, Inc submitted three questions requesting: (1) availability of a geotechnical report for the project; (2) the elevation of the top of the sheet pile wall; and (3) a bid length for the helical piles for the sheet pile wall. The Government's responses indicate that structural engineering design was previously performed based on geotechnical information available at the time of design, with any updated or revised geotechnical report to be provided by the Geotechnical Engineer of Record for review. Sheet pile wall elevations are identified on drawing sheet CG101. Final/bid helical pile lengths will be determined by the Geotechnical Engineer and the helical pile specialty contractor based on soil conditions, installation criteria, and required capacities. Contractors submitting questions are required to reference specific specification and/or solicitation sections or drawing numbers to ensure timely Government responses.
