About this file

This document contains responses to questions from contractors regarding a solicitation to renovate basement spaces in Building 1 at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The project involves modernizing areas for Environmental Management Services, Biomedical Services, Pharmacy, Mailroom, Engineering Services, Office of Information and Technology, Graduate Medical Education, and Medical Imaging. Work will be conducted over three phases to allow for continued hospital operations, with Phase I taking 300 days in rooms 15-26 and 45A-B, Phase II taking 210 days in rooms 49A-59A and an east corridor, and Phase III taking 270 days in rooms 30-35, 43-44A and a west corridor. The responses clarify design details, hazardous material handling, signage and equipment specifications, and confirm that certain rooms are no longer part of the project scope.
