CLARIFICATION:
One of the main fan vendors for this project identified a major issue with the following fans: EF-14, EF- 52, and EF-13. I have attached the cut sheet for EF-14 as an example.
The issue I am seeing is that just the plenum is 4,500 lbs. built as scheduled dual wall steel with foam insulation. Our plenum is slightly smaller than the detail for the fans.
Even if I find something custom with the fan in the plenum there is no way we will be 3,200lbs or under and still meet the specification.
At this point we are not able to get an accurate quote on this to allow for pricing of these fans and keep them under the maximum allowable unit weight.
RESPONSE:
The Basis of Design Fan Units are double walled units with dimensions as detailed on MH301 and the weights are less than shown on the M-602, Fan Schedule. The basis of design is Johnson Controls Inc.
Provide an AHU/fan manufacturer that can meet the specifications.
