About this file
This is a Single Source Justification document for a simplified acquisition procedure under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 13.106-1) for an award not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $250,000.
The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center (RHJVAMC), operating under the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 07, is requesting signage products from Takeform to maintain consistency in facilities signage and wayfinding following a renovation project. The estimated cost for these items is approximately $500. The contracting officer justifies the single source award based on FAR 6.302-1, citing that only one responsible source exists and that utilizing inconsistent signage could create confusion in wayfinding, negatively impact patient experience, and not serve the government's best interests. No market research was conducted due to the requirement for new signage to match existing facility signage for operational continuity. The acquisition is approved by Contracting Officer Kenyon E. Dulaney, who certifies the justification as accurate and complete. The contracting officer is required to document price reasonableness determination in accordance with FAR 13.106-3 using the S19 Open Market Award Documentation Form with Abstract.

2. Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount:
The Ralph H. Johnson’s VAMC (RHJVAMC) is requesting the construction contractor to utilize signage from Takeform to maintain consistency in the facilities signage and wayfinding. The Contractor will replace signs or portions of signs depending on the condition after the renovation is completed.
