About this file
This is an E-Verify compliance requirement document issued by the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, establishing mandatory employment eligibility verification standards for all contractors and subcontractors engaged in town contracts. The Town of Palm Beach requires all proposers to register with and utilize the E-Verify System (E-Verify.gov) to electronically verify the employment eligibility of all newly hired workers effective January 1, 2021. All proposer workers and subcontractors performing contract duties must also be registered with the E-Verify System and comply with employment eligibility verification requirements. Proposers must obtain affidavits from each subcontractor confirming that the subcontractor does not employ, contract with, or subcontract with unauthorized aliens as defined under Florida Statutes Section 448.095(1)(k). Proposers must maintain copies of all subcontractor affidavits for the duration of the subcontract and any extensions thereof.
The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate any contract if it has a good faith belief that a contractor has knowingly violated Florida Statutes Section 448.09(1). If a subcontractor is found in violation, the Town will notify the contractor to immediately terminate the subcontract. Contractors whose contracts are terminated for E-Verify violations will be barred from receiving future Town of Palm Beach contracts for one year from the termination date and will be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Town as a result of termination. The document includes signature lines for company representatives to acknowledge compliance with these E-Verify requirements and to provide company identification information, federal identification numbers, and contact details.
