About this file
This is a Drug Free Workplace Certification form issued by the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, required for firms responding to RFP 2026-014 for Emergency Food Services. The certification outlines mandatory compliance requirements for any organization receiving a grant or contract award from the Town. The form requires firms to establish and maintain a drug-free workplace policy that includes publishing a statement prohibiting unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession, or use of controlled substances; establishing a drug-free awareness program that educates employees about dangers of drug abuse, the firm's policy, available counseling and rehabilitation programs, and penalties for violations; and ensuring all employees engaged in grant performance receive a copy of the workplace statement. Firms must further notify employees that compliance with the drug-free policy is a condition of employment under the grant and that employees must report any criminal drug statute convictions occurring in the workplace within five days of conviction.
The certification requires firms to notify the Town within ten days of receiving notice of any employee conviction and to take personnel action, up to and including termination, or require the employee to participate in a drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation program approved by a Federal, State, or local health, law enforcement, or other appropriate agency within thirty days of receiving notice of conviction. Firms must make good faith efforts to maintain a drug-free workplace through implementation of all requirements outlined in the certification. An authorized agent of the firm must sign and date the certification, providing firm name, title, email, phone, and signature to confirm full compliance with all drug-free workplace requirements.
