About this file

This document is an NFPA 72 fire alarm system inspection and testing report for Kenosha County, Wisconsin, detailing the results of comprehensive testing performed on the alarm system at the Kenosha County Admin Building located at 1010 56th Street, Kenosha, Wisconsin 53140. The inspection and testing was conducted by Siemens Industry, Inc. on August 10, 2022, beginning at 5:45 a.m. and completing at 10:45 a.m. The system consists of a Simplex 4100ES fire alarm control panel located in the lower level electrical room, supplemented by two notification appliance power extender panels (NAC-01 and NAC-02), both utilizing sealed lead acid batteries manufactured in April 2019. The system was tested to verify compliance with NFPA 72 standards and includes 4 heat detectors, 14 manual pull stations, and 13 system smoke detectors, all of which functioned properly with the exception of one strobe-only device in the lower level Register of Deeds Northeast Conference Room.

All primary and secondary power systems, control unit components, initiating devices, remote relays, and supervising station monitoring functioned as designed during the inspection, with battery backup providing 24 hours of standby capacity and 10 to 15 minutes of alarm mode operation. Testing included functional verification of all notification appliances, smoke detector sensitivity testing using the Fire Alarm Control Panel, and confirmation of alarm signal transmission and reception through the monitoring organization, Alarm Detection Service. The inspection was completed and documented by Siemens technicians Stanley Laitinen (License #SL#150654) and Alexander Hanus (License #AH#148912), with acceptance of the test report signed by Rhonda Haidinger on behalf of Kenosha County on August 10, 2022. The owner assumes responsibility for correcting the identified deficiency with the failed strobe device and for ongoing system maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
