About this file
This is an NFPA 72 System Record of Inspection and Testing report for fire alarm and detection equipment at the Kenosha County Job Center located at 8600 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, Wisconsin. The inspection was conducted by Siemens Industry, Inc. on July 14, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and covered the Edwards EST 2 fire alarm control panel designated as "01 - EST 3" located in the first-floor maintenance shop. The system includes five Notification Appliance Power Extender Panels distributed across electrical closets and rooms throughout the facility, with secondary battery backup systems providing 24-hour standby capacity and 10-minute alarm mode operation. The inspection and testing included 28 manual pull stations, 26 system smoke detectors, 3 duct smoke detectors, and 1 heat detector, with 27 of 28 manual pull stations functionally tested and all tested devices passing inspection.
All primary control unit components, secondary power systems, notification appliances, and supervising station monitoring functions passed functional testing on July 14, 2022. However, one deficiency was identified: the elevator did not shunt when equipment room heat was tripped, although elevator recall functionality otherwise passed testing. All smoke detectors passed sensitivity testing in accordance with NFPA 72 2016 standards. The system was restored to normal operation on July 14, 2022 at 11:30 p.m. Testing notifications were provided to the monitoring organization (ADS), building management (Patty Bilski), and building occupants prior to and upon completion of inspection. The report was certified by Siemens technicians Stanley Laitinen and James Kayler on July 15, 2022, and accepted by Patty Bilski on behalf of Kenosha County on July 18, 2022.
