About this file
This document is a procurement tracking template designed for NASA to record and monitor the status of purchased items and services across contracts. The template provides a structured data entry format with columns for contract identification, submission date, and up to 1,000 line item entries for individual purchases.
Each line item requires documentation of nine key data fields: Technical Point of Contact name, Part Number, detailed Part Description including relevant specifications and features, Quantity of units purchased, Dollar Amount (optional if purchase is in process), Purchased Date, associated Work Package/Task Order/TDN reference numbers, Commercial IT Request (CITR) IT Authorization number (obtained through https://oneplace.nasa.gov/citr), and Status selection. The Status field uses a drop-down menu with four options: "In Work" (currently being processed), "Authorized" (approved and ready to proceed), "Authorized, Not Purchased" (approved but not yet initiated), and "Purchased" (completed acquisition). The template is designed to track the complete lifecycle of procurement activities from authorization through final purchase completion, enabling comprehensive oversight of spending, resource allocation, and compliance with NASA's IT authorization requirements for commercial items.
