About this file

This document is a Contractors Work section (Section 01010) for a municipal infrastructure project in Norristown involving complete milling, paving, and ADA ramp improvements. The project requires the contractor to perform work strictly within designated rights-of-way and easements, with responsibilities including obtaining necessary permits, providing temporary utilities, protecting existing structures and public access, and ensuring proper site cleanup upon project completion.

The contract emphasizes the contractor's financial responsibilities, including covering costs for temporary power, water, telephone, testing services, road opening permits, and construction licenses. Payment will be based on actual quantities of authorized work at stipulated unit prices, with no claims allowed for anticipated profit losses. The contractor must adhere to all state, county, and local permit requirements, provide adequate public safety protections compliant with OSHA standards, and restore any disturbed areas. The project terms stress that time is of the essence, with no extensions granted for weather-related delays, and the contractor will receive up to three sets of contract documents at no initial cost.
