About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 issued by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to the Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 160780 for janitorial services at the Petersburg Residency facility in Dinwiddie County. The addendum updates critical solicitation dates and modifies service specifications and supply requirements. The revised bids/proposals closing date is 9:00 AM EST on April 7, 2026, with the virtual public bid opening scheduled for 10:00 AM on the same date. Key specification changes include modifying the machine strip, rinse, and reseal linoleum/vinyl floor service in restrooms from bi-annual frequency to "as needed" status, and changing window washing services from bi-annual to annual frequency. The addendum also clarifies and updates estimated annual supply quantities and specifications, including trash bags (55-gallon and 10-gallon with emphasis on durability), paper towels (multi-fold white), liquid hand soap (low to no odor), toilet paper (2-ply with specified sheet counts), and adds air freshener cans for bathroom placement. Bidders must acknowledge this addendum prior to the bid due date and time, or sign and upload it as an attachment with their electronic bid submission, with failure to do so potentially resulting in bid rejection.

No pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, funding sources, or contract award values are specified in this addendum document. The addendum serves solely to clarify and modify the technical specifications and service requirements outlined in the original solicitation. All bidders are required to provide acknowledgment of receipt of this addendum as a condition of bid responsiveness.
