About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding an amendment to a contractor solicitation for the KATM 238414 Brooks Camp Wastewater Treatment Pond project in Katmai National Park & Preserve. The National Park Service has extended the period of performance to July 31, 2023 in order to allow for project completion once lake levels permit in the 2023 season. For power equipment operator wage categories under the Davis Bacon Wage Schedule, the higher dollar amount listed for the 2021 rate and associated fringe benefits is applicable, as it represents the updated values under Modification 3 dated May 7, 2021.

Contractor Solicitation Questions – Amendment 4
1. Has the NPS explored the idea of a 2021 award and pushing the completion date to the summer of 2023?
Response: Yes, the NPS is extending the period of performance of this project to July 31, 2023.
The project must be complete, and the contractor must demobilize as soon as lake levels allow in July of the 2023 season.
2. With respect to the Davis Bacon Wage Schedule AK20200001, there are two (2) sets of Rates and Fringes for each GROUP under the POWER EQUIPMENT OPERATOR category, which one is applicable?
RESPONSE:
o The Davis Bacon Wage Schedule AK20200001 has been updated to Modification 3 dated
05/07/2021, and is hereby incorporated into this solicitation.
o The higher dollar amount is applicable, because this value is the 2021 Rate and associated Fringe; the lower dollar amount is the 2020 Rate and Associated Fringe.
