About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ 27-002 issued by the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) Engineering and Construction Department regarding General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Services. The RFQ solicits professional design and engineering services from individual consultants or consultant teams structured as prime consultants with subconsultants. The technical proposal submission is limited to 25 pages, which includes all resume information for personnel. Proposers have discretion in determining which resume information to include based on the evaluation criteria outlined in Exhibit 1. Additional lines may be added to Sections 7 and 8 of the Contractor's Qualification Form beyond the standard table allocations to list references and similar projects, though proposers may include projects where they held subconsultant roles.
The evaluation and selection process will focus exclusively on the proposer's Technical Proposal; the Contractor's Qualification Form serves as a supporting document. No specific FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) qualifications are required for this solicitation, allowing a broader pool of qualified consultants to compete. The document does not specify pricing terms, contract duration, renewal options, award dates, or funding sources, indicating this Q&A addresses procedural and submission requirements rather than contractual or financial terms.
