About this file

This technical document outlines requirements for a communications systems design project at a military barracks in Ukraine. Key elements of the project include: installing a fiber optic cable network connecting buildings on the property with eight or more fiber strands and laying category 5e copper cables to deliver connectivity to over 50 individual workstations across two floors; designing and implementing IP telephony, public address, video surveillance, security alarm, and access control systems throughout the buildings; positioning network switches, fiber distribution panels, and communications cabinets to support the wired infrastructure; and placing IP phones, speakers, security cameras, sensors and other peripherals in over 35 individual rooms and areas as defined. The integrated suite of technologies will enhance operations and security at the facility.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

for the design of communication networks, data transmission, video surveillance, access control and alarm systems in the barracks of military unit 3070

The following activities should be considered in the development of the project estimates:

1. Cable routing.

Fiber-optic cable with a capacity of at least eight fibers should be laid from the communication center of the military unit 3070 to the barracks building (hereinafter referred to as the Building). The cable should go into the telecommunications cabinets on the first floor.

On each floor of the building should be provided for the installation of telecommunication cabinets. The placement of cabinets should include a distance from the telecommunications cabinet to the most remote user workstation of not more than 100 meters. Each telecommunication cabinet shall be fitted with a grounding bar not exceeding 4 ohms.

Inter-storey cable channels shall be provided between the floors of the Building with the possibility of access to them by technical staff, and space for routing additional cable lines and the possibility of routing to the telecommunication cabinets.

Between telecommunication cabinets should be routed 2 fiber optic cables with a capacity of at least four fibers each.

From the floor telecommunication cabinets should be routed to each workstation 2 cables FTP with a 5e Category. Each workplace should be equipped with 2 RJ-45 sockets.

The functioning of the local computer network inside the Building must be ensured using switches such as Cisco Catalyst 2960 24 TC-L.

The list of premises in which workplaces will be placed:

1st floor - rooms No. 105, 106, 107, 112, 124, 127, 128, 139, 140, 141;

2nd floor - rooms No. 201, 202, 207, 208, 209, 215, 216, 219.

2. Systems Design.

To design in the Building:

loudspeaker alert system;

video surveillance system;

alarm system;

access control system;

open departmental IP-telephony system.

2.1. Loudspeaker alert system.

The notification network should consist of a cable network, which is made by laying an FTP cable of category 5e from floor telecommunication cabinets with a loudspeaker installed in certain floor rooms. Combining cable networks of floors into a single speakerphone system with connection to an amplifier should be carried out in the operational duty room of the International Center.

The list of premises in which loudspeakers will be placed:

1st floor - rooms No. 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 111, 112, 114, 116, 118, 122, 123, 124, 127, 128, 138, 139, 140, 141, 145;

2nd floor - rooms No. 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 211, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 221.

2.2. Video surveillance system.

The video surveillance system should be constructed using DS-77XXNI-I4 video recorders with the possibility of further expansion and connection to the unified video surveillance system of the military unit 3070, network cameras should be connected using PoE UTEPO switches of various capacities. The cable network should be constructed by laying a Category 5e FTP copper cable from technical communication rooms with telecommunication cabinets on each floor in each security camera installed in the public corridors (rooms) and outside the Building at the entrance and around the perimeter. The security cameras shall be installed as follows:

in the corridor of the 1st and 2nd floors, 4 per floor;

2 cameras in the weapons storage room and 1 in the direction of its front door;

2 cameras in the special equipment storage room and 1 in the direction of its front door.

The information from CCTV cameras should be displayed on monitors installed in the operational duty room of the International Center and, if necessary, to other officials.

2.3. The alarm system.

The alarm system should be based on Satel Integra equipment. The control panel shall be located in the server room (telecommunications cabinet) or in the room of the duty officer. The cable network should be made by laying a copper signal cable 6x2x0.22 or FTP category 5e from floor telecommunication cabinets (in case of weapons storage rooms, security rooms and rooms requiring a security alarm).

Information about the security alarm should be displayed to the commander of the guard, to the operational duty officer or to the duty on the Building of the International Center.

2.4. Access control system.

The access control system is built using U-Prox IP-400 controllers connected to the server of the access control system of the military unit and automated workstations, cable network must be constructed by laying 5e FTP cables from floors of telecommunication cabinets (where power supply units and access controllers are installed ) to the entrance door of the building and to the door of each room to which it is necessary to restrict access (reader, electromagnetic lock, exit button) by three cables to each access point.

2.5. Open departmental IP-telephony system should be constructed using

Cisco Catalyst 2960 + 24PC-L switches (24 10/100 Poe + 2 T / SFP LAN Base, CONSNT-WSC2964L) and designed for 50 sets of IP phones Cisco CP-7821 / K9

(CON-SNT CP7821K9).

The list of premises in which the installation of telephone sets is planned:

1st floor - rooms No. 105, 106, 107, 112, 124, 127, 128, 139, 140, 141;

2nd floor - rooms No. 201, 202, 207, 208, 209, 215, 216, 219.
