Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) is requesting sealed bids for the supply and installation of a UPS battery replacement module at Location 64 under IFB PS132603(2), with bids due September 3, 2026 at 10:00 AM and mandatory site visit August 6.
The scope requires supply and installation of 216 VRLA batteries comprising 144 Deka Unigy HR5500 units and 72 Deka Unigy 31H5000 units or approved equals. All work, including installation and acceptance, must be completed within 45 days of contract execution. The contractor shall provide a one-year manufacturer warranty from product receipt and acceptance. No DBE participation goal was established for this procurement due to insufficient DBE availability.

The contract is awarded on a firm fixed unit rate basis to the lowest-priced responsive and responsible bidder. Contractors and first-tier subcontractors must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations per Labor Code Section 1725.5. For non-construction contracts exceeding $500,000, contractors must be pre-qualified with LACMTA prior to award.
The pre-bid conference is August 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM via Microsoft Teams; attendance at the mandatory worksite visit on August 6 at 10:00 AM must be confirmed by August 5 at 4:00 PM. Questions and requests for approved equals are due August 14 by 2:00 PM, with responses provided by August 21. Sealed bids must be submitted electronically to bids@metro.net by 10:00 AM September 3, with bid opening at 12:00 PM that day via Microsoft Teams.
