About this opportunity

The City of Fort Worth, Texas is requesting sealed bids on concrete pavement restoration work under City Project No. 106802, with bids due September 24, 2026. The City has established a 30 percent Small Business Enterprise goal, with small businesses requiring certification through the North Central Texas Regional Certifying Agency, Dallas-Fort Worth Business Council, Women's Business Council-Southwest, Texas Department of Transportation, Texas HUB Program, Texas Unified Certification Program, or DBE/ACDBE programs and physical location in Denton, Parker, Wise, Tarrant, or Johnson counties.

The scope encompasses full-depth concrete pavement panel replacement at three depths—approximately 200 square yards at 7 inches, 2,803 square yards at 9 inches, and 4,401 square yards at 11 inches—across six street segments (Centreport Drive northbound and southbound, Statler Boulevard eastbound and westbound, Trinity Boulevard eastbound and westbound). Additional work includes 1,193 cubic yards of Flexible Base Type A GR-2, 3,370 square yards of Geogrid Tensar (TRIAX 140-475) or equally approved equivalent, removal of 862 square feet of existing concrete drives and sidewalks, replacement of two ADA ramps with barrier-free alternatives, joint sealant, curb address painting, pavement markings, and traffic control. The contract specifies a 210-day completion timeframe from commencement, with liquidated damages provisions for delays.

The engineer's estimate is $1.3 million. Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to 5 percent of the maximum bid price, conflict of interest certifications, workers compensation compliance documentation, and a completed Small Business Utilization Form identifying all subcontractors and suppliers with dollar allocations totaling 100 percent of contract value. No pre-qualification is required. Bid opening is September 24, 2026; council award is anticipated for November 17, 2026; and construction is expected to begin January or February 2027. The project manager is Marwan Hafez, P.E., at 817-392-7968 or Marwan.Hafez@fortworthtexas.gov.
