About this opportunity
Provo City School District is conducting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a comprehensive mathematics curriculum adoption spanning grades K-12, encompassing 13 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 3 high schools within Utah County. The district seeks to procure instructional materials, digital resources, and professional development services for approximately 6,600 elementary, 2,000 middle school, and 4,600 high school students. The procurement aims to select a mathematics curriculum that aligns with Utah Board of Education Core Standards, incorporates research-based instructional strategies, supports diverse learning needs, and provides robust digital tools with data privacy protections. Key evaluation criteria include material quality, digital resource capabilities, assessment tools, alignment with mathematical practice standards, and professional development support. The RFP has a specific timeline with proposals due on October 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time, a final committee recommendation expected in March 2026, and Board of Education award approval anticipated in April 2026. The resulting contract will be for a seven-year period with a potential 1-3 year renewal option, with all pricing required to be guaranteed for the entire contract term.
The RFP does not explicitly indicate specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must submit both technical and cost proposals separately, with pricing covering student, site, and teacher licenses, shipping, handling, and professional development costs. The district reserves the right to award the contract to the most advantageous proposal, considering technical merit and cost-effectiveness. While no incumbent vendors are specifically mentioned, the procurement documents suggest the district is seeking a comprehensive solution that can be implemented across multiple school levels. The total potential contract value would depend on per-student and per-license pricing, but given the student population of approximately 13,200 students across 18 schools, the contract could represent a significant financial opportunity for the selected vendor. Vendors must also comply with Provo City School District's standard terms and conditions, including insurance requirements, confidentiality provisions, and ethical standards established in the procurement documents.
