About this opportunity
The City of Austin is requesting bids for OEM parts and repair services for Chevrolet light- and medium-duty vehicles under IFB 7800 MAS1007, with offers due June 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm CT and opening at 3:00 pm CT.
Bidders must be manufacturer-authorized Chevrolet parts dealers and operators of a full-time, manufacturer-authorized warranty repair facility located within 60 miles of the Texas State Capitol and accessible via email and telephone. Contractors must demonstrate a minimum of three consecutive years of experience providing Chevrolet parts and repair services within the last five years to municipalities or similar organizations, employ a minimum of two service technicians, and submit proof of technician certifications and training. Authorization must be documented through an Authorized Distributor Certificate, dealer agreement, or manufacturer letter of authorization. The contract requires the ability to comply with Code Red deliveries, Expedited Repair Services, and Emergency Disaster Services.
The scope encompasses non-warranty repair services on an as-needed basis, though contractors must be authorized to provide warranty services. The contract commences upon execution and continues indefinitely until obligations are performed, with optional extension periods at the City's sole discretion. Upon expiration, the contractor must hold over for up to 180 calendar days to allow the City time to re-solicit or complete deliverables. Pricing is fixed or unit price, remaining firm for the first 12 months; after the initial 12 months, either party may request price adjustments not exceeding Consumer Price Index changes for motor vehicle repair.
The City will evaluate bids on best value, applying a 5% discount for bids up to $500,000 and a 3% discount for bids between $500,000 and $50 million for both local and small businesses. A nonmandatory pre-offer meeting is scheduled for June 11, 2026 at 10:00 am CT via Microsoft Teams. Questions are due June 16, 2026 at 2:00 pm CT. All offers must be submitted electronically through eResponse in Austin Finance Online. The City's Living Wage Program and Wage Theft Ordinance compliance apply. No M/WBE subcontracting goals apply, though contractors may use subcontractors with City approval. Contractors must maintain specified insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, and Property or Garage Keepers Insurance.
