About this opportunity
Troup County Board of Commissioners is seeking a qualified Property and Liability Insurance Broker through a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process. The procurement aims to secure comprehensive insurance brokerage services for the county, with a focus on finding a broker with at least 5 years of experience working with public entities in Georgia. Key deliverables include insurance placement services, policy review, claims filing, and ongoing monitoring of insurer solvency. Proposers must submit sealed proposals by March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST to the Troup County Purchasing Department, with all questions due by March 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST. The evaluation will be conducted by a selection committee focusing on qualifications, experience, and expertise, with the county reserving the right to accept, reject, or negotiate portions of any proposal. Respondents must provide a comprehensive response to a detailed questionnaire covering their background, licensing, customer service capabilities, compensation structure, and compliance approach.
The RFP does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Proposers must provide proof of Georgia insurance licensure, submit client references, and demonstrate evidence of insurance with specific minimum liability coverage limits. The proposal must remain valid for 120 days from the submission deadline. While no specific incumbent vendor is mentioned, the county requires a digital copy and one physical copy of the proposal, with strict submission guidelines. The RFP does not disclose a specific budget range or contract value, leaving potential financial terms open for negotiation. Interested brokers must carefully follow the submission instructions, including proper envelope marking with "Property and Liability Insurance Coverage" clearly written on the outside, to ensure their proposal is considered.
