About this opportunity
Dysart Unified School District (DUSD) in Maricopa County, Arizona, is seeking a qualified Certified Public Accountant to conduct annual financial audits for fiscal years ending June 30, 2026 through June 30, 2030. The procurement opportunity requires a comprehensive audit of financial transactions and accounts, specifically aligned with Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) for federal awards. The selected contractor must complete the Uniform System of Financial Records for Arizona School Districts (USFR) Compliance Questionnaire (CQ) and perform detailed financial review and verification. Key deliverables include annual audit reports that demonstrate compliance with federal financial reporting standards. The solicitation was posted on December 19, 2025, with proposals due by January 14, 2026. Potential bidders must possess current CPA certification and demonstrate expertise in school district financial auditing. The district reserves the right to suspend contract provisions if federal award expenditures fall below qualifying thresholds.
The contract appears to be open to all qualified CPA firms without specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. While no incumbent vendor is explicitly mentioned, the multi-year contract structure suggests potential for continued engagement with a selected auditor. The scope of work covers five consecutive fiscal years, indicating a substantial commitment to ongoing financial oversight and compliance. No specific budget range or award value was disclosed in the original solicitation. The district's requirement for compliance with Uniform Guidance suggests that responsive vendors must have robust understanding of federal financial regulations and reporting mechanisms specific to educational institutions. Interested firms should carefully review the complete solicitation documents to ensure they meet all technical and professional qualifications for this audit services contract.
