About this opportunity
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is issuing a solicitation for a Job Order Contract (JOC) Multi-Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) construction acquisition. The JOC will be used for a variety of maintenance, repair, alteration, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, demolition, painting, paving, earthwork, and historical preservation/restoration projects within the United States Capitol Complex and outlying facilities in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland. The work may also involve design/build projects and new construction. The AOC intends to award approximately three contracts for a shared capacity of $90 million over a one-year base period with seven one-year option periods. Offerors will be evaluated on factors such as specialized construction management experience, design/build experience, key personnel qualifications, management approach, safety program, and past performance, with price being significantly less important. The proposal due date is May 31, 2024, and the AOC is currently working on responses to Requests for Information.
This is a Total Small Business set-aside solicitation. The work will primarily involve construction, maintenance, and renovation services at U.S. Capitol Complex facilities and outlying sites, including climate control book storage facilities, data centers, security training facilities, child care centers, and mail facilities. The AOC has not identified any potential incumbent contractors.
