About this file
This document is a Special Provisions section (Section 00 80 00) for working on Tinker Air Force Base, dated January 2022. The document outlines specific requirements and guidelines for contractors working at Tinker AFB, with key provisions covering airfield operations, traffic control, and project management. Critical stipulations include mandatory pre-coordination with the Contracting Officer and Chief, Airfield Management (CAM) for any airfield activities, strict limitations on equipment height (12 feet maximum), and requirements for flight line driver training for personnel operating vehicles within movement areas.
The document also details additional contractor responsibilities such as dewatering excavated areas, managing waste materials, using designated haul routes, and implementing proper traffic control and barricades. A notable provision allows for a potential winter recess between December 1 and March 1, which can be negotiated between the Contracting Officer and Contractor as a no-cost contract modification. The provisions are designed to ensure safe and coordinated construction activities that do not disrupt critical airfield operations, with an emphasis on maintaining aircraft movement areas and ensuring minimal traffic disruption during project execution.
