1.1.1 Lump Sum Payment Items

Payment items for the work of the Base Contract for which contract job payments will be made are listed in the BIDDING SCHEDULE and described below. All costs for items of work, which are not specifically mentioned to be included in a particular job or unit price payment item, are included in the listed job item most closely associated with the work involved. The job price and payment made for each item listed constitutes full compensation for furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing any associated Contractor quality control, environmental protection, meeting safety requirements, tests and reports, and for performing all work required for which separate payment is not otherwise provided.

1.1.1.1 Bid Item 0001 - Mobilization and Demobilization

1.1.1.1.1 Payment

All costs connected with the mobilization and demobilization of the Contractor's personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials will be paid for the contract lump sum price for this item. 60 percent of the lump sum price will be paid to the Contractor upon completion of his mobilization to the work site. The remaining 40 percent will be included in the final payment for work under this contract.

In the event that the Contracting Officer and/or his representative (COR) considers that the amount in this item which represents mobilization (60%) does not bear a reasonable relation to the cost of work in this contract, the Contracting Officer may require the Contractor to produce cost data to justify this portion of his bid. Failure to justify such price to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer/COR, will result in payment, upon completion of mobilization, of actual mobilization costs as determined from the cost data submitted by the Contractor. Payment for the remainder of this item will be included in final payment for work under this contract. The determination of the Contracting Officer/COR is not subject to appeal.
