Do not interfere with the Isabella Partners power plant (below Main Dam) operations. Ensure that the power supply system is not inturupted and provide safe access to all facilities.

1.4.1 Reservoir Operations

Isabella Dam will remain in operation during the entire construction period. Reservoir operations, with the exception of one temporary drawdown for Borel Outlet Works abandonment, will not be adjusted to accommodate construction needs. Submit any construction activity that could potentially interfere with the ability to operate either the spillway and/or existing river outlets must be fully coordinated sufficiently in advance through the Contracting Officer and dam operators. The timing of such activities must be subject to approval. No construction activities are to interfere with any outlet or spillway release. Notify the Contracting Officer if any construction activity has the potential to interfere with operation of Isabella Dam. Any proposed construction activity that has the potential to interfere with outlet works or spillway operation is not permitted. The lone exception to this is that haul routes that block or partially block the Service Spillway are permitted between April 1 and October 31 if approved by the Contracting Officer. At the direction of the Contracting Officer, the Contractor will remove the section of the haul route blocking or partially blocking the Service Spillway in five days or less.

One controlled lowering of the pool will be allowed for the demolition of the Borel Conduit Intake Structure and associated features. The Contractor must schedule the construction pool in the fall/winter months and must be coordinated well in advance with the Kern River Water Master and the Contracting Officer.

1.4.2 Road and Utility Service Interruptions
