Product Name Echelon IZOT Commissioning Tool (CT) Pro 4.x
Capabilities & Functionality IZOT Commissioning Tool (CT) 4.x is a software tool for installing and commissioning Local Operation Networks (LoN). IZOT CT installs and commissions a community of devices by simply drawing a network with the integrated Microsoft Visio 2016 tool.
When the IZoT CT is open, a startup screen shows up with options of using an existing database or creating a new database. When a selection is made Visio also opens automatically. IZoT CT runs inside of Visio. Data is entered through the Visio program at the user interface. When ending the IZoT CT application, Visio closes first. Then IZoT program gives the user the option of saving or backing up database.
IZoT cannot be started if Visio is already running. As the user draws a network, the IzoT Commissioning Tool (CT) communicates with the devices to make them match the drawing. To make two devices communicate, the user draws a line between them. The result is a network drawing that serves as the as-built documentation of the network. IzoT CT includes the Local Network Service (LNS) compatible IzoT Net Server. The server provides an open platform for tools and applications to interact with the LON networks. The user can design networks and commission devices at the same time, or independent of the physical hardware and later commission the devices. The user can also commission the devices one at a time, in groups, or by subsystem. IZOT CT is used to maintain and monitor energy and equipment as a Building Automation System (BAS). Building automation describes the functionality provided by the control system. The control system is a computerized, intelligent network of electronics devices, designed to monitor and control the mechanical and lighting systems in a building. BAS core functionality keeps the building climate within a specified range, provides lighting based on occupancy schedule, monitors system performance and device failures, and provides email and/or text notifications to engineering staff. The BAS functionality reduces building energy and maintenance costs when compared to non-controlled building.
