The following individual labor categories correspond to a single Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) Number, Title and Functional Description.

b. A minimum of four (4) years' experience in DOD Information Assurance policy and regulatory compliance including DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP), DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) & Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Systems from an accredited college or university. A Master's degree in any of the preceding disciplines may be substituted for one year of general experience. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with additional concentration as an Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) or Information Assurance Level III. (4) Developing safety products according to the tasks in MIL-STD-882E including:
a. Maintaining traceability documentation and providing regular reports to management about compliance status.
b. Identifying and tagging software requirements that are deemed to be safety critical
c. Performing safety analysis of the software system design (i.e. Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA); Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA); Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA); Fault Tree Analysis (FTA))
d. Incorporating the software safety plan, strategies, mitigations, and practices into the software design, development, configuration management, and validation/verification testing processes
e. Providing testing techniques for ensuring the compliance of the software safety critical requirements.
f. Determining SwCI IAW MIL-STD-882E based on the control category of the software and level of severity of potential mishaps with software contributors.
g. Leveraging JSSSEH and other best practices from tailored standards such as RTCA-DO-178, ISO26262, etc.
