About this file
This is an inspection plan outlining procedures and requirements for the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to inspect and approve construction activities for an Indoor Firing Range (IFR) project. The plan establishes inspection protocols across multiple construction phases, with Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) serving as rubrics for specific testing requirements.
The plan details comprehensive inspection activities, approval criteria, and documentation requirements across multiple areas including: mobilization, site preparation, civil works, structural elements, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, communications, environmental controls, fire protection, and demobilization. Key technical requirements include compliance with IBC standards, OSHA regulations, NFPA codes, UFC standards, and EPA requirements. The plan mandates specific testing procedures such as soil compaction tests, load-bearing capacity assessments, pressure testing for plumbing, airflow testing for HVAC systems meeting UFC 4-179-02 specifications, and verification of fire suppression systems per NFPA 72 standards. The contractor must provide 48-hour notice to the COR for required inspections, and all work must be documented through detailed inspection reports, photographs, test results, and final approvals.
