About this file
This document provides responses to questions regarding a request for information (RFI) for the construction of an F-35 Simulator Facility and Base Supply complex. Key details include that the RFI responses clarify specifications, drawings, and requirements for items such as wall assemblies, flooring, lighting fixtures, roofing, and landscaping. The responses also identify the current internet provider at the project site, confirm which party is responsible for various consulting services and permitting, and provide contact information for the qualified fire protection engineer.
The related federal contract opportunity notices that the Alabama National Guard intends to award a firm fixed-price contract between $10-25 million for construction of the new Simulator Facility and Base Supply complex per specifications and drawings dated March 2021. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on specific dates in October 2021, with interested vendors required to submit an entry authorization list by another specified date.
