Exhibit 9 Service Component IT Specifications
Service Component:
Army Active Duty TRICARE Prime Remote
System Name:
Medical Operating Data System (MODS)
System Description:
The Medical Operational Data System (MODS) is an Army Medical Department (AMEDD) automated system used to manage the medical human resource programs for all categories of military and civilian medical and support personnel. It encompasses major functional areas for the Army, such as Command & Control, Education, Human Resources, Logistics, Medical Readiness, and Soldier Patient Care.
System Name:
Medical Protection System (MEDPROS)
System Description:
MEDPROS is a component of MODS and is the Army system of record for tracking all Soldier Individual Medical Readiness (IMR). MEDPROS feeds data to other modules with the MODS suite of applications. MEDPROS write access for data entry capabilities (manual entry) for immunizations, etc.
System Name:
MEDPROS Web Data Entry (MWDE)
System Description:
The MEDPROS Web Data Entry (MWDE) module within MODS provides a secure, online data entry portal for the posting of all immunization, medical readiness, and deployability data for all Active and Reserve components of the Army as well as DA Civilians, contractors and others. It is a powerful tool allowing those with data entry access the capability to post Immunization and Medical Readiness information updates directly into MEDPROS as they occur. It also incorporates the feed of a Soldier’s Medical/Dental/Vision readiness status to the U.S. Army Forces Command’s (FORSCOM) Deployment and Reconstitution Tracking System’s (DARTS) automated DA Form 7425 (Sections IX Medical, X Dental, and XI Vision). For those with special access (granted separately), MWDE has built in links to the Medical Health Assessment Module (for completion of Periodic and Deployment Health Assessments).
System Description:
The contractors checks eligibility and enrollment via DOES or General Inquiryof DEERS (GIQD). All non-TRICARE contractors (e.g. MTFs) utilize GIQD. It is a real-time look into DEERS that shows the eligibility and enrollment status of DoD beneficiaries.
System Description:
Software application within the Medical Operational Data System (MODS) suite that allows global tracking of Army Soldiers who have temporary or permanent medical conditions that may render them medically not ready to deploy.
System Name:
The Medical Health Assessment (MHA)
System Description:
The Medical Health Assessment (MHA) application within MODS tracks Health Assessment data for all Active and Reserve components of the Army as well as DA Civilians, contractors and other DOD personnel. It is a powerful tool allowing Military, Civilians, Contractors and their supporting Health Care Providers to complete Periodic and Deployment (Pre/Post/PDHRA) Health Assessments online and provide those DHA’s, once completed, to the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center (AFHSC).
Type of Connection Needed (including One-Way or Two-Way):
A System Interface Agreement is required to support two-way connection between the RHRP system and MODS system. Additionally, two-way connection will be required to interface with AHLTA, MSG Genesis, HAIMS and Joint Legacy Viewer where applicable.
System Name:
Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA)
System Description:
AHLTA is the electronic medical record (EMR) system used by medical providers of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) since its initial implementation in January 2004. It is a services-wide medical and dental information management system.
System Name:
Health Artifacts and Image Management Solution (HAIMS)
System Description:
The Health Artifact and Image Management Solution provides Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care providers global visibility and access to artifacts and images generated during the health care delivery process. Soldiers’ medical information will be electronically transferred into HAIMS to be identified/indexed into the Service Treatment Record.
System Description:
MHS GENESIS integrates inpatient and outpatient best-of-suite solutions that will connect medical and dental information across the continuum of care, from point of injury to the military treatment facility. This includes garrison, operational, and en route care, increasing efficiencies for the beneficiaries and healthcare professionals. MHS GENESIS will replace select Department of Defense (DoD) legacy healthcare systems, including but not limited to: AHLTA, Composite Health Care System, inpatient, and components of the Theater Medical Information Program-Joint (TMIP-J).
System Name:
Joint Legacy Viewer
System Description:
The Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV) is a clinical application that provides an integrated, read-only display of health data from the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and private sector partners in a common data viewer. Thousands of DoD and VA clinicians use JLV daily to access real-time medical data in the treatment of their patients. The application also supports thousands of benefits administrators as they research patient medical histories to process claims.
Security Protocols Required for Contractor to Access System:
Contractor personnel will need AKO access. Contractors require CAC to access MODS applications.
Access Approval Authority and Whether it can be Delegated to RHRP Government Staff
YES. Access approval to MODS applications can be delegation to RHRP COR or designees.
Expectation for Contractor's Role in Establishing System Interface:
Contractor will initiate system interface request through RHRP government representative. Contractor is not authorized to directly coordinate with MODS contractor.
Format of Data to be Received by Contractor:
Currently data is passed via web service or SFTP
Format of Data to be Uploaded by Contractor (if applicable):
Data gained at event Uploaded at event site via internet to MODS website into appropriate module. If individual voucher, data will be directly uploaded into MODS via established web service. NOTE: AR 40-501 requires POS data entry.
