About this file
This document is a Cloud Adoption Management Group (CAMG) Charter establishing the governance framework for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) cloud adoption activities. The charter, effective September 30, 2016 (Version 5.0), defines CAMG as a forum empowered by the Information Technology Executive Council (ITEC) to oversee cloud adoption within the Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE), Secret, and Unclassified environments. CAMG serves as the execution arm for implementing NGA's cloud-based operating model and is accountable for managing the transition and sustainment of cloud strategy aligned with Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and Federal guidance.
CAMG's principal responsibilities include acting as the execution arm of ITEC to institutionalize the cloud-based operating model; advising and supporting the NGA Office of the Chief Information Officer and IT (OCIO-T) in implementing multi-domain GEOINT services and geospatial content solutions; instituting business processes for managing cloud-based operations; and providing cloud adoption tasking to implementing Directorates. The CAMG maintains a governance board meeting at least monthly to address implementation challenges, assign subject matter expertise for issue resolution, make decisions on cloud guidance deviations, communicate courses of action to NGA organizations, and implement adoption actions with stakeholders including Directorates and Portfolio Managers. The Board Chairperson, with support from a dedicated Secretariat, documents deliberations, coordinates with impacted stakeholders, manages agendas, and maintains records. The charter is subject to annual review and modification at the direction of OCIO-T, signed by NGA Deputy CIO Shishu Gupta.
