About this file
This document includes a federal contract opportunity notice and an associated site inspection report for a traffic monitoring station. The contract opportunity is for roadwork projects in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, consisting of asphalt paving, concrete repairs, drainage work, guardrail replacement and other tasks across three schedules. The total project value is estimated between $25-35 million. Proposals from small businesses are due in February 2023 as specified in the solicitation.
The related site inspection report provides details on the condition and maintenance needs of an automatic traffic recorder station. Items addressed include loop and sensor functionality, cabinet cleaning and repairs, solar panel voltage checks, and telecommunications checks. The report recommends remedial repairs such as conduit installation, loop splicing and painting the cabinet. It verifies the station is fully operational following repairs.
