About this file

This document is a comprehensive set of construction documents for the renovation of the Domiciliary at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham, Texas. The project involves architectural upgrades to approximately 61,500 gross square feet across Building #24, specifically focusing on hallways and patient rooms in A, B, and C Wings on the 1st and 2nd floors. Key renovation elements include replacing flooring, upgrading wall finishes, installing new door jamb finishes, corner/wall guards, handrails, windowsills, window treatments, communication boards, and associated interior lighting.

The project scope requires careful phasing with limited swing space and includes specific exclusions such as removing certain rooms (1C-143, 1B-143, 2B-143) and bathroom work beyond doorways. The contractor will be responsible for build-back and repair of walls in B Wing that were previously removed during water damage remediation. Additional requirements include creating photorealistic design renderings and restoring all disturbed grounds to their original condition. The project is being executed by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, with the construction documents dated February 9, 2024, and a project number of 549A4-22-221.
