About this file

This document is a product specification sheet for Armstrong Flooring's Biome Luxury Flooring, a Solid Vinyl Tile (LVT) product in the Montanei Everest 5T255 color. The flooring meets ASTM F1700 Class III Type B specifications with an overall thickness of 0.100 inches (2.5 mm) and a wear layer thickness of 0.020 inches (0.5 mm). The product is available in two sizes: 6 inches by 48 inches (18 pieces per carton, 36 square feet coverage, 39 lbs shipping weight) and 9 inches by 48 inches (12 pieces per carton, 36 square feet coverage, 39 lbs shipping weight). Installation uses adhesives S-995, S-319 Roll Strong, or S-1000, with no polishing or buffing required as maintenance, though polishing is optional.

The product has been tested and meets all performance requirements across multiple ASTM standards, including thickness tolerance (±0.005 inches), wear layer minimum (0.020 inches), size tolerance (±0.016 inches per linear foot), squareness (0.010 inches maximum), residual indentation (average less than 8%), chemical resistance, heat and light resistance, static load resistance at 2000 psi, fire ratings (Class 1 flame spread), smoke evolution (450 or less), ADA accessibility standards for stable and slip-resistant surfaces, dimensional stability, and static coefficient of friction (≥0.5). Acoustic performance includes IIC-53, STC-51, and Delta IIC-22 ratings when tested with S-1840 Quiet Comfort Luxury Flooring Underlayment over 6-inch concrete without ceiling. The product qualifies for WELL v1 and v2 certifications, LEED v4.1 credits, carries a 20-year commercial warranty, and features sustainability attributes including FloorScore certification, absence of asbestos and added lead, freedom from flame retardants and phthalates, Health Product Declaration availability, and a carbon footprint of 0.64 kg CO2 equivalent per square foot from raw materials through production.

*Testing at loads above 250 psi is outside the scope of the test method. Since testing is conducted on uninstalled flooring, results do not consider the performance of the adhesive, underlayment, or subfloor.

These test results are not an indicator of the installed flooring system performance. **Using the James Machine as described in D2047 and as directed in UL 410 for floor covering materials (FCM) using a leather foot under dry conditions. The application of site-applied floor sealers, polishes and other types of finishes routinel used to maintain resilient flooring materials will change the walking surface and consequently the SCOF value.
