About this file
This document is a Data Item Description (DID) for a Quick Reference Card (QRC) and Commercial Operator Manual for the LASSO (Low Altitude Stalking and Striking Ordnance) system. The QRC must be a maximum of 3 laminated pages, no larger than 5.5" x 3.5" when folded, and prepared at an 8th-grade reading level. The document specifies detailed requirements for content, including buttonology, low battery indicators, modes of operation, calibration procedures, fields of view, positioning adjustments, and basic troubleshooting procedures.
The submission process involves multiple review stages, with the vendor required to submit digital files 60 business days prior to the Technical Readiness Review (TRR). The Government will have 21 business days to review and provide comments, after which the vendor must incorporate feedback and deliver final digital files within 30 business days. The document includes an export control warning and requires Distribution Statement D, limiting distribution to Department of Defense and U.S. DoD Vendors. The QRC must be included as an appendix in the (-10) Technical Manual and will be evaluated using criteria found in MIL-PRF-32216.
