About this file
This document is a Data Item Description (DID) for Frequency Allocation Application and Certification Support related to the LASSO (Low Altitude Stalking and Striking Ordnance) program. The DID outlines requirements for submitting Stage 3 and Stage 4 DD Form 1494 applications for equipment frequency allocation and spectrum certification. The vendor must submit an updated Stage 3 DD1494 application no later than 60 days after award, with potential updates required if wireless technology or frequency ranges change during production. The government will have 15 business days to review and provide comments or approval, and the vendor must resubmit updated versions within 10 business days if requested.
The document includes specific instructions for preparing the frequency allocation documentation, with a required warning about export control restrictions and a mandatory Distribution Statement D, which limits distribution to the Department of Defense and U.S. DoD Vendors only. The vendor must follow the formatting requirements outlined in DI-EMCS-81827 and provide technical support for frequency spectrum testing and certification during the approval process. The document is specifically tied to Milestone 6 and 8.45.1.1 of the Statement of Objectives, and the final submission will be to the Product Manager Soldier Precision Targeting Devices at Fort Belvoir, VA.
