About this file
This document is a Data Item Description (DID) for Software Development Documentation (SDD) related to the LASSO (Low Altitude Stalking and Striking Ordnance) program. The document outlines specific requirements for the vendor to provide comprehensive software development documentation, including the proposed implementation methodology, actual implementation of algorithms and code, development matrix, software demonstration, testing, verification, and compliance with standards and requirements. The vendor must deliver a Draft SDD at Milestone 2 and continue submissions through Milestone 3, with the documentation requiring detailed explanations of algorithms, interfaces, and software design.
The SDD must be compatible with Windows and Microsoft Office 2016 products, MS Project Professional 2019, and MS 365 formatted files. It is subject to export control restrictions and contains a Distribution Statement D, limiting distribution to the Department of Defense and U.S. DoD Vendors only. The Government will have 15 business days to review the submitted documentation, and if comments or disapproval are provided, the vendor must resubmit updated versions within 10 business days. The documentation must also include provisions for Agile development, Cyber Security, and Safety Assurance, and be prepared for various software development activities including new development, modification, reuse, reengineering, and maintenance.
