ATTACHMENT E – Optional Services: Recycling Disposal and Removal
1. EXTENT OF WORK
A. The Contractor will provide the personnel and equipment to collect all recyclables in the entire building. Contractor to provide COR with a plan for accomplishing a complete recycling program for the RRB. (i.e., Cardboard, shredded paper, soda cans, and paper).
B. Locating and contacting a recycling facility is the sole responsibility of the Contracted Waste Hauler.
2. NUMBER OF CONTAINERS REQUIRED AND PICKUP SCHEDULE
A. The Government will provide the individual trash cans (for collecting recyclables) to the Contractor, who will distribute the containers throughout the building for recycling of cans and shredded paper only.
B. The Contractor will provide the final pickup containers, which are used for consolidating the paper for collection. Location of the pickup container bins must be coordinated with the COR.
C. Contractor will keep an adequate supply of Government furnished trash cans on each floor for replacement purposes.
D. When an adequate number of final pickup containers have been filled, the Contractor will transport the collected cardboard to the loading dock and placed into the containers for cardboard recycling provided. The final pickup containers will be emptied daily. The other recyclables shall be placed in containers specified for type of recyclable material.
3. CONTAINER MAINTENANCE: Contractor employees will return the trash cans to their original location after emptying. Any damaged or unsanitary containers will be replaced with new Government-furnished containers.
4. DISPOSITION QF MONIES: All monies generated from the recycling process will be retained by the Contractor.
5. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS: The Contracted Waste Hauler shall furnish a monthly report showing the volume of recycled materials to the Contractor. The Contractor shall send this report to the COR. The Contractor may have the Contracted Waste Hauler send the report directly to the RRB COR.
