About this file
This is a Monitoring Well Sheet, a technical documentation form used to record the specifications and construction details of a groundwater monitoring well.
The well, designated JAX-0023E-MW4S, was installed at Site AREA E as part of Project OU3 by Transamerican Drilling Company under the direction of driller D. Hearne. The well was completed on June 21, 2002, using a centrifugal pump development method with an H.S.A. drilling method. The geologist of record was L. Knight. The surface casing consists of an 8-inch diameter steel pipe with a Quikrete/steel manhole seal. The riser is a 2-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC pipe installed in an 8-inch borehole. Type 1 Portland Cement was used as backfill material. The monitoring well includes a bentonite chips seal at elevation/depth 11.5 feet, a filter pack extending from 12.5 to 14.0 feet depth, and a Schedule 40 PVC screen with 0.010-inch slot size and 10-foot length. The screen has a 2-inch inner diameter and is positioned from 12.5 to 14.0 feet depth, with a 20/30 filter pack material below. The total borehole depth is 114.8 feet. The well construction follows standard groundwater monitoring practices with appropriate sealing, filtration, and screening components designed to facilitate water sampling and aquifer testing.
