Question two asks about minimum burial depth of telecom ducts, with the response that the designer of record will determine the depth. Question three asks if all metal parts of telecom handholes need to be 316 stainless steel, with the response that no new telecom handholes are included in this project's scope of work.

The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation N6274221R1337 for the construction of eight new earth covered munitions storage igloos and magazines at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. PRE-PROPOSAL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

RFP N62742-21-R-1337

FY 22 MCAF P-1366/AJJY073105P2, APR-MUNITIONS STORAGE IGLOOS, PHASE 2,

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, GUAM

NOTE: The following questions and answers are provided for INFORMATION ONLY. The RFP remains unchanged unless it is amended in writing on a Standard Form 30.

1. Do the concrete encased duct banks require reinforcing?

ANSWER: Part 3, ESR G40, paragraph G403004 Ductbanks, Manholes, and Handholes does not specifically require reinforcing of concrete encased ductbanks. However, it is the responsibility of the Designer of Record to determine if reinforcement is required due to conditions such as insufficient burial depth, crossings with other utilities, seismic conditions, etc.

2. What is the minimum burial depth of the telecom ducts.

ANSWER: To be determined by Designer of Record. Duct banks must tie into stub-outs constructed under a separate project, FY20 MCAF Project P-3105/AJJY073105P3 Hayman Munition Storage Igloos (Phase 3).

3. Please advise if all metal parts of the telecom handhole need to be 316 stainless steel.

ANSWER: This project does not include the construction of new telecom handholes. All telecom handholes are constructed under a separate project, FY20 MCAF Project P- 3105/AJJY073105P3 Hayman Munition Storage Igloos (Phase 3).
